PACKAGE 02: PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF BATANG SARIBAS BRIDGE, BETONG DIVISION, SARAWAK

Project Brief :

The objective of this project is Proposed Construction and Completion of Batang Saribas Bridge to connecting Beladin side and Pusa side. The main span comprises of balance cantilever 1.229 km and the approach span comprises of T-Girder 320.96 m. Widening and upgrading of the existing road approximately 600 m long at Beladin side and 1600 m long at Pusa side. New approach road approximately 700 m long at Beladin Side and 220 m long at Pusa Side.

The Project located approximately 0.6 km downstream from the existing ferry point and the width of river crossing is approximately 1.15 km. The total length of the alignment is approximately 4.8 km which comprises of a 1.55km long bridge connecting the existing road at Beladin/Maludam with Pusa. The proposed works consist of : 2-lanes single carriageway bridge , which comprises eight (8) river spans of prestressed concrete box girder (balance cantilever construction) and four (4) approach spans of prestressed concrete T-Girder at each end. The Span configuration is as follows :

o Total = 1550m

o River spans: 90m – 150m – 175m – 200m -200 – 175m – 150m – 90 m

o Approach spans: 4 x 40m spans at each end

Widening and upgrading of the existing road approximately 600m long at Maludam and 1600m long at Pusa side.

Civil, drainage works, navigation, signages and lightings, street lighting, and other ancillary works.
